June 8, 2026
AI-powered fleet safety and mobility intelligence platform Cautio has appointed Nitin Chadha as Senior Vice President – Growth & Strategy, strengthening its leadership team as the company expands its presence in India's commercial mobility sector. In his new role, Chadha will lead growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and enterprise expansion efforts as Cautio seeks to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven safety and operational intelligence solutions across commercial fleets. Chadha brings more than two decades of experience spanning mobility, consumer technology, automotive, insurance, and startups. During his career, he has held leadership positions at Acko, Spinny, and Park+, and also founded shared mobility platform sRide, one of India's early entrants in the ride-sharing space. The appointment comes at a time when fleet operators are increasingly adopting AI-powered technologies to improve road safety, driver accountability, and operational efficiency. Regulatory focus on road safety, driver monitoring, and advanced safety systems is also driving demand for predictive and intelligence-led fleet management solutions. Industry adoption of AI-based monitoring systems has gained momentum in recent months. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) recently announced the deployment of AI-powered dashcam analytics across nearly 40,000 kilometres of national highways to enhance road monitoring, maintenance, and safety. Commenting on the appointment, Ankit Acharya, Co-Founder and CEO of Cautio, said, "Nitin brings a rare combination of operating depth, mobility-sector understanding and growth leadership. His experience gives him a strong perspective on how large mobility ecosystems function and scale. As Cautio enters its next phase of growth, his leadership will be instrumental in expanding our partnerships, strengthening our revenue engine and bringing our fleet safety platform to more operators across India." Growing Demand for AI-Powered Fleet Safety Founded to improve safety and accountability in commercial mobility, Cautio combines AI-powered safety and mobility intelligence technologies to help fleet operators identify risks, improve driver behaviour, and enhance operational performance. The company said it has scaled rapidly over the past 15 months, currently safeguarding more than 15,000 vehicles daily across over 130 cities in India. According to Cautio, its platform has processed more than 150 million safe kilometres and generated over 60 million AI-triggered alerts related to driving behaviour and operational patterns. The company also claims its technology has helped intervene in more than 3,000 safety incidents, preventing over 2,400 potential accidents while identifying instances of impaired driving, false insurance claims, vehicle misuse, and other safety-related events. Cautio's customer base includes mobility operators and enterprises such as RedBus, Zingbus, Euro Cars, Cityflo, Infants, Shoffr, the Indian Army, and G4S. Safety Infrastructure Speaking on his appointment, Nitin Chadha said, "Mobility in India is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Operators today want technology partners that can help them improve safety, accountability and operational efficiency at scale. What drew me to Cautio is its long-term vision of building safety infrastructure, not simply selling technology products. The company has built a strong foundation, and I'm excited to help accelerate growth, deepen partnerships and bring these solutions to more fleets across the country." Backed by investors including Antler, 8i Ventures, AU Small Finance Bank, and other strategic investors, the company has raised more than $3.5 million in funding to date. As AI adoption expands across transportation and commercial mobility, companies are increasingly investing in intelligence-driven systems that move fleet management from reactive monitoring to proactive risk prevention. With the appointment of Nitin Chadha, Cautio is looking to strengthen its growth strategy while expanding the reach of its AI-powered fleet safety platform across India.
