MoRTH Proposes 5-Year Age Extension For Electric, Hydrogen & Natural Gas Commercial Vehicles Under National Permit System

The government has proposed extending the age limit for battery, hydrogen and natural gas commercial vehicles under the national permit system by five years. The limits would rise from 12 to 17 years and 15 to 20 years. MoRTH also proposed five-year permit authorisation, greater use of VAHAN data and revised temporary registration rules to simplify procedures.
