Some auto-component businesses grow by selling more of the same product. This company is trying a different route. The company built its business around control cables and other mechanical components, but is now moving into gear-shifting systems, lighting, sensors, tyre mobility, railways and defence, hoping to turn a relatively traditional manufacturing business into a larger and more diversified mobility-components company.
