New Delhi: Tata Motors will increase prices across its commercial vehicle range by up to 1% from October 1, 2026, due to the rise in commodity and other input costs. The price revision will vary depending on the model and variant, the company said. This will be Tata Motors' second announced commercial vehicle price increase this financial year. In March, the automaker announced an increase of up to 1.5%, effective April 1, also citing rising commodity prices and other input costs. The latest revision comes amid growth in India's commercial vehicle market. Industry body SIAM said domestic commercial vehicle sales reached 2.65 lakh units in the first quarter of FY27, up 18.3% from the corresponding period last year. Goods carriers recorded double-digit growth, supported by replacement demand and activity in the mining and cement sectors. Tata Motors reported commercial vehicle sales of 44,411 units across domestic and international markets in August 2026, up 49% from 29,863 units in August 2025. Domestic medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales stood at 17,531 units, up 31% year-on-year. Tata Motors' commercial vehicle business covers trucks, buses, pick-ups and utility vehicles. Following the group's restructuring, TML Commercial Vehicles was renamed Tata Motors Limited with effect from October 29, 2025, and its shares are listed on the BSE and NSE.
