The automobile may get the attention, but much of the money is made by the companies supplying the parts that go into it. As vehicles become more electronic and less dependent on the internal-combustion engine, the old auto-component business is changing too. The suppliers that can move beyond a single component and become part of several systems inside a vehicle could have a very different growth story.
